Hundreds of fans came, via car and bus, from throughout the entire East Coast, to join Dick & JoAnne Pillar on Tuesday April 19, 2005, at their newest annual production, Pillar's "SPRING FLING".   This event, billed as a celebration of Spring time, was held at the beautiful AQUA TURF BALLROOM in Plantsville, CT. The event started with the welcoming sounds of the "Reunion of the Pillar Polkabratjon Band".   The dance floor was full as early as 9:30am. as dancers whirled to the musical strains of this popular band.   The music continued through the morning until the wait staff of the Aqua Turf began to serve the fabulous seven course gourmet dinner.   Excellent service, along with delicious food .... and All-You-Can-Eat ........ What more can you ask for?   After the dessert was served, it was time for the big door prize drawing, and, many attendees walked way with some terrific gifts.   The A-Team, Adam & Amelia, dressed in their Easter Finery, then led the "Post-Easter Parade" and were joined by an impressive array of participants, all sporting a great "Easter Bonnet".   Judges took their places and it was a difficult task to pick the winners as so many entries were really first-rate.   Therese Dunn took first place, with runners up, Shirley McCulley, Florence Hawkes, Sonja Chowanec, and Cindy Beauchamb in close contention.   "Hats Off" to everyone who participated, a great job! The day went by all too quickly, and soon it was time for the finale and the promise of more good times to come.   Next year's Spring event has been scheduled for Tuesday April 25, 2006, and, don't forget to mark your calendar for Dick & JoAnne's 7th Annual "Christmas Party", Tuesday November 29,2005.
